The 2026 International Conference on Smart Cities, Internet of Things and Urban Governance (SCIUG 2026) will be grandly held in Guangzhou. This conference focuses on the integrated development of smart cities, the Internet of Things and urban governance, aiming to promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of cities. Against the backdrop of the accelerating urbanization process, the application of intelligent technologies in urban management is becoming increasingly widespread. The conference will conduct in-depth exchanges around topics such as urban data, Internet of Things applications and innovation in governance models. The conference is open to experts in urban planning, information technology and public administration, and promotes cross-disciplinary cooperation through special reports and case analyses. The conference welcomes submissions of original research results to provide theoretical and technical support for smart city construction.

All full paper submissions to the SCIUG 2026 could be written in English and will be sent to at least two reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical or research content or depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. All accepted papers of SCIUG 2026 will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.

Submission Guidelines

Delegates are encouraged to submit their papers/abstracts to the conference. Good quality papers will be selected by the organizing committee and Prof. Soteris Kalogirou, the editor in chief. After it, the authors will be invited to extent their papers/abstracts and submit them to sciug@confsmanual.com. The normal size of research papers is 4,000-6,000 words excluding abstract and references.
